Parish Priest
Fr Philip Linder joined the team as our Parish Priest at Sydney Harbour North Parishes in March 2008.
Educated at Marist Mosman he then studied for the priesthood at St Columba’s College, Springwood and St Patrick’s College, Manly.
He was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Sydney in 1969.
He worked for 24 years in the parish of Liverpool. Other parishes he has served include Broadway, Castle Hill, Hurstville, Blakehurst and South Hurstville.
He has also been a member of the Finance Committee of the Archdiocese, Chairman of the CWF, Dean of the Northern Deanery and a member of the Priests’ Retirement Foundation Committee. As a youth he enjoyed playing rugby league and tennis and loved athletics, He still holds the U16 100m record at Marist North Shore. He played Junior League for Mosman District Club and then for Mosman Collegians.
He is very disappointed that his favourite team, the North Sydney Bears are no longer in the National Rugby League competition.
Fr Mark Anderson
Fr Mark Anderson, was ordained a Deacon in St Aloysius Church, Cronulla on the 30th of November 2021. On his ordination day he was appointed to the Parishes of Sydney Harbour North. On the 6th of August 2022 he was ordained a priest and received his official letter of appointment as an Assistant Priest for our parish. Prior to entering the seminary Fr Mark had a previous life as an electrician.
Fr Matthew Lukaszewicz, was ordained a Deacon in Sacred Heart Church, Mosman on the 10th of December 2022. We are delighted that Fr Matthew has been appointed Assistant Priest to our parish after his priestly ordination at St Mary’s Cathedral on the 9th of September 2023. Fr Matthew is an excellent tennis player and has a background in engineering.
